İngilizce: Plexiglass is a plastic glass available in both colored and colorless varieties. It can be transparent or translucent. It has a lightweight plastic structure that is easy to process, cut, and drill. It is generally found in flat sheets of 1.5-25 mm thickness in the market. It is softened by heating at 90°C or in an oven at 90°C – 115°C, allowing it to be molded into the desired shape. It is more durable and lighter than glass.
The only disadvantage is that, being thermodynamic, it is less resistant to burning (Cast). Plexiglass can be easily applied to any desired shape. The biggest feature of plexiglass is that it is a cast sheet. It does not cause difficulties during the manufacturing process.
Plexiglass does not cause problems in cutting, blowing, or shaping like extruded sheets. Its technical properties, such as expansion coefficient, density, softening point, and hardness, comply with standards, and it has a high polymer count.
