Polyurethane has a wide range of applications in the industry. It shows high resistance to abrasion, tearing, impact, deformation, and various chemicals compared to rubber and other elastomer materials.
Its abrasion resistance is 5 to 40 times better than that of rubber. The tear and break resistance are very good. Lifespan decreases in concentrated sulfuric and nitric acid. Its ability to function over a broad working range increases the material’s efficiency and applications. Its ozone and air resistance is excellent. Due to its good electrical properties, it can be used as insulation material.
It is usually light foam in color, but red and yellow variations are also available. It is generally used as 90 shore but can also be found in lower shore levels.
